At Viñals Soler we control the entire agri-food chain, guaranteeing traceability, food safety and quality from farm to table. The organization has established a series of commitments on which its Quality and Food Safety Management System is based:
Certifications
Viñals Soler always puts food safety and quality first. All of its products are backed by the most rigorous quality standards and its commitment to staying up to date on food safety matters.
CARN ROSADA
With the aim of adding value to the product we supply, Viñals Soler S.L developed the commercial brand CARNROSADA VS which, under a traceability and labeling system detailed in this document, guarantees consumers a differentiated product controlled from the fattening farm to the final customer, with its own specifications certified by CERTICAR, S.L., an entity accredited by ENAC in compliance with Standard UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17065 No. 04/C-PR141.
Viñals Soler S.L markets beef under the CARNROSADA VS and VIÑALS 1906 brands, meeting the following requirements:
Time spent by the animals on controlled farms
Animal feeding
No antibiotics are administered through feeding.
Slaughter age
Location of the fattening farms
The animals under the brand’s requirements must be raised in Catalonia for at least the last 3 months.
For the Viñals 1906 brand, the farms are located in the Cerdanya region.
HALAL
At Viñals Soler we are certified by the Halal Institute of Córdoba to slaughter, cut, package and market Halal beef, sheep and goat meat, in compliance with the Regulation on the Use of the Halal Guarantee Mark of the Junta Islámica.
Our certificate includes the GSO 2055-1 and GSO 993:2015 standards, demonstrating Viñals Soler’s commitment to bringing Halal food to different parts of the world.
CCPAE
At Viñals Soler we hold organic certification, which allows us to market food under the terms “Ecological”, “biological” and “organic”. Within the European Union, these terms must comply with regulations and be certified by an authorized control body. In Catalonia, the control body is the “Consell Català de la Producció Agrària Ecològica” (CCPAE).
SAICA
Viñals Soler holds SAE (export self-control system) level 3, as established by Royal Decree 993/2014 for final producing establishments intending to export products for human consumption, whenever the destination country requires health requirements additional to European regulations and/or requires a specific list of authorized exporting establishments to export to that country.
The certifying body is SAICA.
IFS FOOD
The IFS Food food safety standard is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) for auditing companies engaged in food manufacturing. This standard focuses on the quality and food safety of processed products.
ANIMAL WELFARE
The animal welfare certification held by Viñals Soler is managed by IRTA in collaboration with Neiker-Tecnalia, based on the European Welfare Quality project and the European AWIN® project, which developed systems for assessing and monitoring animal welfare on farms and in slaughterhouses.
This assessment system is based on 4 principles: GOOD FEEDING, GOOD HOUSING, GOOD HEALTH and APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR.
At Viñals Soler we have the entire chain audited from the farm to the shipment of our products, because we are aware of the benefits that animal welfare brings both in terms of quality and production efficiency. In addition to respect for animals from birth to slaughter.
Consumers will have guaranteed information through product labeling with the Animal Welfare seal (WQ).
Beef & Lamb from Spain
A brand driven by PROVACUNO, whose main objective is to represent Spanish beef, sheep and goat meat internationally.
Products covered by this seal ensure that rearing (fattening), slaughter, cutting, handling and packaging have been carried out exclusively in Spanish facilities. It also ensures that the minimum feeding with cereals and oilseeds is 150 days for cattle and 15 days for sheep/goats.
MARCA Q
Viñals Soler slaughters calves under the parameters of the “Q” Mark regulated by the Department of Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Veal covered by this distinction comes from animals of meat breeds and their crosses.
Animal feed is 100% plant-based, supplemented with vitamins and minerals, with a minimum of 50% cereals, 10% fiber-rich vegetables, and 5% legumes, for at least the last 6 months.
The maximum slaughter age is 12 months.
Once slaughtered, the carcasses undergo an aging process of at least four days before reaching the consumer, in order to increase tenderness.
